The Container FX Explode has it's own editor within the plugin which allows you to adjust certain parameters when animating your scene on and off. Like all the other container functions, you drop this plugin onto a top most group and it will affect all the sub containers beneath it. The easiest thing to do with this plugin is to set key frames on the progress percentage. Once you have the key frames set, you can use the different settings within the plugin editor to adjust the animation so it comes on and off as you like.
